The immediate proximity to the rural landscape of the plain, the variety of the vegetation of the riverbed, the spatial and visual relationship of the visitor with the river and the locations of historical and archaeological interest constituted the material and nonmaterial parameters taken into account for the development of the Pinios riverfront. The design provides for a promenade for walking and cycling, an area for hosting events, as well as an agricultural park, which are treated as individual parts, integral to a comprehensive landscape intervention.
